Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct Environmental Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for products

· Manage the outreach programs to collect LCA / Sustainability / Environmental process data from sites and suppliers.

Interaction with business functions and tools & systems for LCA / Sustainability activities related to products, bills of materials, purchased parts and suppliers

Responsible for generating LCA reports in accordance with ISO standards and storing, managing and auditing environmental footprint data

Able to provide an overview of the LCA status of materials used within the company

Enabling companies to answer customer questions about LCA and sustainability related requests

Champion optimization of processes and implementation of automation proposals


Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years experience with life cycle analysis modeling and sustainability tools

Well versed in the life cycle stages of products and the associated environmental impact

Master’s degree in science (e.g. chemistry, environmental science or other scientific discipline) or engineering degree (mechanics, metallurgy, electrical/electronic sciences, polymer sciences, chemistry)

Basic experience in PLM Databases (SAP / Teamcenter)

Good understanding of material chemical composition sources, such as Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or Full Materials Disclosures (FMD)

Make decisions based on detailed analysis, make recommendations to the team and drive actions to improve results

Additional skills:

Ability to work in an ever-changing environment and strive for continuous improvement of working practices

Demonstrated interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with individuals of all disciplines and levels within and within the organization

Ability to think strategically and critically analyze details

Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is preferred

Proactive to find actions needed for continuous improvement

· Strong written and oral communication skills, especially in cross-functional collaboration and facilitation
